Rouse Construction Project

Gallatin County Emergency Management

Work on the Rouse-Oak/ Story Mill Bozeman project is scheduled to start in a few weeks. We’d like the chance to answer your questions and discuss what to expect throughout the process of this important project. A public meeting regarding the project will be held on Wednesday, November 9 at 6:30 p.m. at the Homewood Suites located at 1023 Baxter Lane in Bozeman.

The overall goal of the Rouse-Oak / Story Mill Bozeman project is to develop a roadway better suited to meet the needs of the Bozeman community. The project will extend on Rouse Avenue from Oak Street north to Story Mill Road and will include multiple improvements, including widening the road and the addition of bike paths, sidewalks and landscaping. Additionally, Knife River will install a new storm drain system, water system, and sanitary sewer system as part of the project.

Construction of this project is slated to commence on November 16, 2016 and the expected completion date is October 2017. Anticipated workdays are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. During construction hours, traffic will occasionally be reduced to one lane, which may create increased traffic, delays, temporary loss of access and detours for adjacent residents and businesses. We encourage all those impacted to attend the informational meeting to learn how we can work together to minimize these challenges.
