Media Center

Gallatin County Emergency Management maintains an online media release system.  This system is available to all agencies in Gallatin County and is accessed through an internet browser or an app.  Recipients (i.e. media) from the system enroll and maintain themselves eliminating the need for you to maintain a list.  The system is available at gallatinmedia.org.

Community Notification System

Gallatin County Emergency Management maintains a mass notification known as the Community Notification System.  The Community Notification System is the only mass notification system for emergency messages within Gallatin County.  This system as the ability to send voice and text messages to land line phones, cellular phones, email, Fax, TDD/TYY and social media platforms.  Additionally, our system is enrolled in IPAWS which allows emergency officials to activate both the Emergency Alert System and Wireless Emergency Alerts.  This system is accessible at Alerts.ReadyGallatin.com.

Call Center Tools

Emergency Management maintains a recorded message line that can be utilized for recorded incident updates to large numbers of people. This is available to all agencies. We also maintain a small standing call center that is equipped for four call takers with a dedicated incident phone number.

Next Door

Emergency Management is an agency member in the Nextdoor system. Nextdoor is a social networking system for neighborhoods that is becoming more popular in Gallatin County. This can be utilized for emergencies, but is also well suited for pushing non-emergency information to communities.

Video Conferencing

Gallatin County Coordination Center has several smart rooms with integrated video conferencing systems. These systems can support large groups with good audio as well as special uses like video briefings. The facility is also equipped to support various one way streaming events. GCEM also maintains several portable systems that can be deployed to locations offsite to support the needs.

Computer and Networking Kits

Gallatin County Emergency Management has 30 laptops to support surge computing needs. We also maintain a portable managed networking kits to quickly establish a managed network at any location to establish, or restore, networking needs.

We also maintain a kit of VoIP phones that can be deployed anywhere to establish phone service and several starlink kits to provide connectivity.

Coordination Center

The Gallatin County Coordination Center is available for use when not supporting incidents. The Coordination Room has computer workstations that can be used as a computer lab, the Training Room support 25 people and we have a small8 person conference room. All rooms support video conferencing.

Video Production

The Gallatin County Emergency Management has cameras, microphones, lighting and screens to support a variety of video production needs.

Radio Kits

Gallatin County maintains 3 portable radio kits to support events or incidents. Kits are self contained, pre-programmed and equipped with batteries that do not require charging. We have a VHF Conventional BK kit, a VHF/800 conventional/ trunked BK kit, and a 800 trunked Motorola kit.

Public Address System

Gallatin County maintains a portable public address system with a variety of wired and wireless microphones.

Command Trailer

Gallatin County Rural Fire maintains a command post trailer. The trailer has environmental controls, radio and workspace.

Incident Cache Trailer

 Gallatin County Rural Fire maintains an incident cache trailer.  It is equipped with the items needed to establish a command post for an extended incident such as tables, chairs, garbages, heaters, shelters, lighting, etc…

Universal Task Vehicles (UTV)

 Gallatin County Emergency Management maintains a 2 place and a 6 place UTV to support incidents.
